Hi all

Sorry total noob here, I was trying to make a NAS system with another OS and I believe I couldn't get past a step because of the Intel ethernet I219-V controller there as well, but thought TrueNAS might be able to get past it. Anyway these are my Specs and steps I get up to in the setup

Project Name = Backup Snology NAS
1. MB = ASRock B560 Pro4 - Chipset B560
2. RAM = 16GB DDR4 2666MHZ
3. CPU = Intel i5 10400 (BX8070110400) 4.3GHZ 12M Cache LGA1200 Comet Lake
4. LAN = - Gigabit LAN 10/100/1000 Mb/s,- Giga PHY Intel® I219V
5. SSD = Kingston 128GB (For OS)
6. NAS HDD = None yet but will be Seagate Red 8TB
7. TrueNAS install = TrueNAS Core 12.0-U5.1

I go through the install process of making a SD Boot device put it in the project and follow the bouncing ball to copy the files across and reboot. Upon reboot I get to the network part and I have no self assigned IP address from the router and a message saying (something - I am connected to a tv and the edges are cut off a bit) interface could not be accessed

Any help would be great
Cheers and stay safe

I suspect that the NIC is unrecognized. You may need to purchase a "proper" network card. The Intel I219V's are often not recognised by other OS's has been my experience.
