Hi,
I recently built my first FreeNAS server (FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201602031011) using a Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H motherboard. It is a Skylake motherboard and comes with an Intel 219-V NIC. Since the I219 was not supported I added an I210.

[root@nas01] /tmp/em-7.6.1/src# lspci | grep Ethernet
00:1f.6 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V (rev 31)
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation I210 Gigabit Network Connection (rev 03)

Recently Intel released a new version of their FreeBSD drivers, em-7.6.1, which supports I219.

Is it possible to upgrade my installation to support the I219 as well?

Support for it appears to be coming in the next SU.

I noticed this statement added to the documentation six days ago - "Support for Intel I219-V and I219-LM Gigabit Ethernet chipsets has been added."

See - https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/12399

Now if only FreeBSD gets X550 support as the current Intel 10Gbe driver does not support it, though Linux supports it.
