Hello,

I am building new FreeNAS server.

Do you have some experience with what chipset can be used from compatibility point of view?

1) GIGABYTE Z270X-UD3 (socket 1151, skylake)

2) GIGABYTE X299 UD4 (socket 2066, kabylake)

- kaby lake Intel Core i5-7640X

Can I know what modern/newest chipsets/CPUs we are using with latest FreeNAS?

Without compatibility problems or where we had some problems?

Because I cannot find some info about supported chipsets.

I am using FreeNAS servers w/t problems in almost 5 years old chipsets now.

Thank you in advance for any hints.

Martin

Thank you a lot for information.

I saw the guideline and I have focus for supermicro MB with socket 1151. A XEON cpu using is a plan.

Looks it OK?
