My question is did i mess up with all the installs of the PLEX related jails. Should i just destroy each one individually or select pluginjails as a whole and destroy them that way. If so can they be removed with out loosing any media that is associated with them. Quite new to this. GREEN as GREEN can be but willing to learn. Thanks in advance.

as long as your media is on a dataset mounted into the jail then it won't be deleted. you shouldn't be deleting plugin jails directly. instead delete the plugins from the plugins installed tab, and the associated jails should also be deleted.

EDIT
just noticed those might not be plugin jails (even though your posting in the plugins section =P ) yup, that's where you delete standard jails.

i have no idea. i see jail+application related threads in the plugins section all the time so it's probably as correct as any.

so giving that my media is in separate datasets, there would be no loss if i was to destroy the pluginjails dataset that would clean out my multi installs of plex then i reinstall it

If you media is in the "media folder" dataset, that won't be deleted even if you do delete your jails.

Actually I might have mispoke a bit earlier. If you want to delete your "pluginsjails" dataset you should delete your jails first on your Jails tab, then you should be ok to delete the parents dataset.
