Hey all,
I switched to the latest stable release, 9.3 u4 and now it seems that my OS X computer can't see the shares on my FreeNas machine.
I have to manually connect to it via "Connector to Server".
Please let me know if my permissions are correct.
I created a group called "Shared-Access".
For the storage, the owner is : user - root & "shared-access" for the group.
I have to login in order to mount the volume. I login with a user called "jchan", who's primary group is "wheel" and aux group is "shared-access"
Guest access is not allowed for the share (under sharing permissions)
Please let me know if I have a permissions issue.
edit:
Looks like the storage dataset has to be in group "wheel" in order for my OS X computer to see it.
how do I make it so only specific users have access to specific shares?
edit
do I need to have AD setup in order to make this work so I have specific users access specific shares? I thought I could setup users in FreeNAS to do this :(
