Hi,

I have been unsuccessful in changing the timeout variable in /etc/local/proftpd.conf . Every time the ftp service is reset on freenas the variables are set back to default time outs (I tried changing the variables manually). I'm a nooby with linux. Hoping someone can help me change the timeout variables permanently so they aren't over written or changed every time the ftp service is started. I am transfering larger files across my home network (5- 15Gb) and my account gets booted off in the middle of an FTP session.

I would really appreciate help on this matter :).

Yes, and added into aux parameters. Aux parameters are appended to the end of the proftpd.conf. since the variables are already set earlier in the configuration by default adding the variable values again has no affect.

In that case, this sounds like a bug. Please create one at bugs.freenas.org and post the issue number here.

It would be such a simple oversight, I would be very surprised. I also get timed out on CIFS transfers....
