CD / Blue Ray

Guys.

I am building out my rig and by default i put in my CD/Blue Ray drive in without thinking. However is there any need for a CD/Blue Ray drive or is just a waste of time and space?

OK. Thought as much but wanted to check. Will rip it out. More room for disks

Well, almost totally useless. If you don't have IPMI on your motherboard, the optical drive can be helpful in installing FreeNAS. After that, useless.
