Can't see server

Hey all,
I have just made a server. SO PROUD!
Anyway, I have configured it via the web GUI with the address of the server 10.x.x.xx.
I added shares all that etc, but it simply WILL NOT show up on any computers connected to the network. The house only runs W8. I can type the ip address of the server in windows explorer, and it will work and show up. I just can't get it to show up in the network part of explorer. Any ideas?

Is FreeNAS in the same subnet? Do you have firewall enabled?

Make sure everything is in the same workgroup
