Can't download updates 9.10?

I can get out to the internet, ping www.cnn.com etc but updates are failing? i get errors saying it can't resolve a hostname?

Basically, the OS and the documentation are downloading fine but the UI cannot be downloaded because of a timeout.

Ehmmm....ok it's my fault: my self-built SOPHOS appliance is scanning the FreenasUI-9.10 tgz file for viruses and in doing so it take around 1 minute causing the timeout....

That's why I don't do virus scanning from things like SOPHOS appliances. :P

I'm not going through a sophos....any idea on a fix? or are they working on something in the background?

Just add an AV exception for update-master.freenas.org

Just like FreeNAS, you need to fine tune your Sophos box.

I manage a Sophos UTM that protects 100+ users. I have added a number of exceptions over the years, but now days it's probably less than one a week.

The file it's trying to download doesn't exist on the freenas servers.

Yeah thats what I was doing too. Fresh 9.10 image downloaded and trying to upload. I've got a bug ticket opened for it.
