can't access share

So strange...

I have a media and TimeMachine shares located on different zpools. shared. - working.
I have a home/george folder as my own home folder, with many sub folders on the same zpool as the TimeMachine zpool, with exactly the same permissions, and I can't access it.

Is there a way to clone permissions from one folder structure to another... would be great to have a "pre defined label" that can be applied to any share that then applies a set of permissions. that way I can do my permissions for myself there and I can decide where to apply them.

... did a destroy of the SMB share... and recreated it, seems to be fixed.
