SOLVED Cannot login GUI using root

Hi All,

Since today I cannot login GUI using root. I am using freenas FreeBSD 10.3-STABLE and I still have access via SSH. Tried to reset root password but it still not allowing me login the GUI via browser.

I can see the login page, but it always tells me username and password not matches.

Any clue?

This is solved by resetting the password via the console option 7.

Somehow reset root password using sudo command is not working.

Correct, as CLI changes aren't written to the configuration database.
