That's really not enough information for anyone here to be of much assistance
for installing FreeNAS
Follow the USER MANUAL instructions for installing FreeNAS. The link below
is for the versions beginning with 11.1

Motherboard make and model would have been useful, as well as make and model of memory modules.

I'm running an Atom C2750 based system myself (see my sig) so basically your hardware should be fine. Of the two install modes described in the manual (UEFI or BIOS Booting) try BIOS Booting first. Also think about hardware stress testing / validation / burnin as described for example in Uncle Fester's Guide, especially memory and CPU stress testing.

And be aware that the Intel C2000 family of processors is affected by the "AVR54" bug, at least if date of manufacture is before Q2/2017. This bug, if it would manifest itself on a system, would show other symptoms than the one described by you AFAIK.
