Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. I'm happy to report that IT WORKS! Thank you so much everyone for your suggestions!
I removed the original 4GB stick of RAM and replaced with the new 16GB. I couldn't get the NAS to recognize the RAM even though it was showing properly in the BIOS. I come back to this thread and then I'm like oh yeah, DUH, I need to use x64. So I installed FreeNas 9.3 x64 on a thumb drive and auto import worked flawlessly. Now all of my original data is there and all users are now happy.
Thanks again Robert Trevellyan, Noctris, Darren Myers, danb35, and joeschmuck. I never would've been able to troubleshoot this myself and likely would've lost some data. I sincerely appreciate the time you all took to help me.
