Can TrueNAS be used for btfs?

Hi! I would like to ask if it's possible for btfs (Bittorent File System) to run on TrueNAS? It seems to be stuck on validating for a little while

You might be able to use the Darwin installer inside a jail, but the native TrueNAS environment isn't likely to work. TrueNAS isn't a Linux distro, but a descendant of FreeBSD. Darwin is also a BSD descendant.

I mean, is it possible if a windows machine running bittorrent target TrueNAS and make ot as a btfs drive?

There's no native support for btfs in TrueNAS. You'll have to see if it'll install in a jail.

It looks super similar or possibly forked from IPFS, which is a plug I just created for TrueNAS scale. I'll see if we can do a similar plug-in of BTFS soon.

@Kris Moore's comment was for TrueNAS Scale, which is different from TrueNAS Core. In Core, jail is your only option.

For kicks I went ahead and put together a quick BTFS app for TrueNAS SCALE. The next scale update 21.02 launches in a few weeks, I can provide some further instruction on how to use it after that time if anybody wants to give it a whirl :)

Hi I would like to know how to do. I have tried now several times. I followed https://hub.docker.com/r/solipsist01/go-btfs and https://github.com/bittorrent/go-btfs. Please show me how to do it.
