Stock cooler is good enough, don't buy this - CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L9i 57.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($41.89 @ OutletPC)
Saved $41.89 plus shipping :p
This power supply is better, but not available through PCPartPicker - SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD
$61.99 + $5.99 shipping :D

Borderline... If you think up sizing your drives is a possibility in the future, go with a bit higher wattage. I think
there is a 400-500watt model that just a few $ more than this one. Just don't buy over kill watts, cause your server
sits idle most of the time so low use efficiency will be cut by going too "big".
edit: add-on, spelling
I run a gold 400watt for 6-3TB WD Reds;)

A G-450 will easily handle 10 drives. 13 absolute max I'd trust it with.
G-450 and up are also semi-modular, which makes cable management easier.

The 360W has no problem with 6 HDDs, whatever you're throwing at them.

You may want to look for an ASRock MT-C224 - has 4 DIMM slots and powers 6 SATA drives trough a cable from the mobo. Adapters for standard ATX PSUs are included.

I was looking around the forum and I see mentions of IPMI and RAIDz/z2. I am still a complete noob when it comes to a NAS. Is this build good enough for IPMI or RAIDs? I just want to make sure that I can use the NAS being headless, prevent data loss and run plex, be my storage and bt box. If I need to change my parts, feel free to tell me.

The board has IPMI integrated and raidz2 is supported independently from the hardware. these builds don't have a problem with that.

Before I settle on this, just a quick question. Can I have 4 drives usable in a RAID while 2 is for RAIDz2(backup) in case of failure or does it have to match? i.e. 4 usable drives, 4 for backup? Thanks for all the input so far.

If you have six drives, you'll have roughly 4 drives' worth of storage, with 10 drives 8 drives' worth of storage, etc.

Since I am getting 6*4TB WD Reds, 16 TB is usable while 8 TB is backup (roughly), correct? Just making sure...

Right, but don't forget that drives are sold in powers of 10, instead of powers of 2, so it's quite a bit below 16TB. @Bidule0hm has a calculator which should help.

It's roughly 13TiB ("windows TB") usable.

And there's no backup, that's just redundancy/parity. You have to do the backups to other systems yourself.

Thank you all for the input. I ordered my items. Now it is just the waiting game. :D Hopefully when everything arrives, all the items work.
