First time playing with FreeNAS though I have read up on it quite a bit in the passed few months. This build is going to serve as a primary backup for a family and small business, as well as host our massive movie collection for streaming to a TV.
The UPS will have our router and a workstation plugged into it and will mainly be used as a surge protector and to gracefully shut down the FreeNAS box.
EDIT: realized I screwed up the RAM selection
- MB: SUPERMICRO MBD-A1SRi-2758F-O
- RAM: Black Diamond Memory 16GB (2 x 8GB)
- OS: SanDisk 16GB Ultra Fit CZ43 USB 3.0
- HDD: WL 3TB 7200RPM
- Case: iStarUSA S-46-DE6SL
- PSU: Athena Power AP-U1ATX30A 1U 300W
- UPS: CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD 900W 1500VA
