BCM5709 should be supported by FreeBSD, how can I fix this problem?
Thanks

Is this NIC onboard? I know I've had issues with onboard NICs before. The card should work as it's on the hardware compatibility list, but it doesn't work. I got weird errors and inconsistent function. If it is onboard you could try 8.3-BETA1(the problem MAY be fixed in 8.3) If that's not a option I'd recommend an Intel NIC. They're cheap and they just work.

Problem solved by disabling management firmware with uxdiag. I enabled that by mistake. It's used for things like iLo. The NIC does not work properly in unix with the flag on missing management fw.

Thanks a bundle for reporting back. Others (in the future) with this chip can now search and see your success.
