Board recommendation?

Nothing... I'm now thinking I should drop back down to 32GB and drop down to that 2620 instead. Think I'm getting carried away...I quite enjoy buying new stuff if I can justify it.

This box will only be used for FreeNAS. I could easily build something that would do FreeNAS and my VMs but I have decided against that and I don't think I should switch back - if need be I could always just keep an eye out for a second board and build a second box for that, especially if I cut back on this one I'll feel much better about spending more money later.

So that's me down to £325 for the same board, the E5-2620V2 and 4x8GB of the samsung stuff listed as compatible.

Leaving me the PSU to buy separately and still wondering about the CPU cooler.

Well, more browsing of ebay and I've decided best to go with the proper Supermicro CPU cooler - SNK-P0050AP4 unless someone tells me differently.

And there's surprisingly good value to be had on the CPU, I've found a 2650V2 really cheap I also found some 2680V1s cheap too. No real difference between them for performance but the 2650V2 should use less power.

Still hoping someone says that it'll all work together and I've not missed anything (like last time!).
