Hi,

So after spending hours today (Thanks Anodos) working on some sharing issues, I think that something is wrong with my freenas installation (verified by testing on a new VM freenas box). I had an issue last week when one of my usb drives became corrupted, I had a spare (3rd) usb which had my install, I popped it in the server & went on my way.

So now I want to use two new USB drives & install freenas, then import my pools back into the system.

What is the best way to do this to ensure (as much as possible) no data is lost?

Thanks,
Rich

One quick question before i do the reinstall. Is there a way to figure out why adding new users = new users not able to access any new datsets?

It sounds like the shares aren't set up correctly (if at all). Unless your users are SSH'ing into freenas.
