Hello,
I'm planning on installing truenas on my pc and act as a "backup server". Got lots of photos and videos (around 5tb atm) that I want to backup. I think I have finally settled with truenas as OS.
Thinking of installing 6x4tb in raidz2. And 2 x ssd for boot. (good or bad?)
So about 14tb of storage.
But I'm also thinking of installing plex and running some torrents on the truenas server. So I was thinking how I should do with my hdd setup for this. I might have read somewhere that zfs is not so good with "allocating" torrents?
If I do 6x4tb raidz2 for my backup, can I add a couple of other hdd/ssd to be used just for my plex and torrents? Im still learning about best practice for pool, vdev, raidz etc.
Thanks!
