1) your PSU has two 8pin CPU cables. They plug in to the CPU/PCIe 8pin plugs on the PSU.

2) Sata/peripheral(molex) cables plug in to the 6 pin peripheral plugs.

3) you should never hang more than two drives off a Sata power connector.

4) molex is good for 4 drives.

5) the PSU is so overkill that I suspect if you run it in variable fan mode, the fan will never spin.

6) seeing this PSU (which is supposed to be awesome l) side by side with a corsair rmx1000, the rmx is much better for this sort of purpose. More and thicker cables.

Looking at reverse breakout cables, and noticed an extra connector on some brands.

It's labeled "P4" in the image attached. What does it plug into and what does it do? And will I need it?

Sideband enclosure stuff.

I have no idea what the hell it's supposed to be used for. SAS already supports SCSI Enclosure Services in-band and that thing has no standard I'm aware of.

What does it plug into
Your motherboard has headers for it. Feel free not to use them.
