BadBlocks Results

I just added two 10tb drives to my system and run badblocks on them.

I kept an eye on it over the last few days and it always seemed to say 0/0/0 for errors but I checked this morning and one of the tests is finished but it doesn't tell me the result. It just says "done"

How do I know that it didn't find an error in the last 10 hours or so when I wasn't watching.

I have looked around the internet and no-one seems to have asked this before. (perhaps it is a silly question) I have seen other peoples screenshots where it says pass completed successfully or whatever, why does mine not say that, was there a problem ?

I'll attach a screenshot of it, in which you can see the 1st drive is finished (with no results displayed) and the 2nd drive is still running showing 0/0/0.

Thanks

If your command window isn't full of a list of bad block addresses (or even a single one), you're fine.

ok so if there was a problem it would show you them once the test has completed ?

If like mine it just says "done" when its finished that means there were no errors ?

I just thought it would show something like the screenshot below when it has finished (pass completed, 0 bad blocks found (0/0/0 errors)

As badblocks runs, it will drop each bad block address on the screen as it goes, so at the end you would see some listed in between the steps if there were any.
