Auto Import Volume returns ' "An error occurred' on FreeNAS 8.0.2

I'm unable to get my rpool to be visible again in FreeNAS 8.0.2. Here's what I did:

  1. The system was running FreeNAS 8.0
  2. Took a backup of the config DB - Save Config
  3. Installed FreeNAS 8.0.2 on my USB Flash Drive
  4. Loaded the backup DB config
  5. --> at this stage, the ZFS pool was not available
  6. Trashed the rows in the config DB (storage_disk, storage_diskgroup and storage_volume)
  7. Reboot
  8. Again tried Auto Import Volume on the GUI
  9. --> It does list my 'rpool' but attempting to import, just returns "An error occurred !'

From the command line I can easily run zpool import rpool which makes my pool available again. Any idea why the GUI doesn't allow me to import it again? I don't see anything else in the logs that relates to the 'An error occurred !' so I'm puzzled about why it is showing that message.
