Attempted Sonarr update and gui no longer accessible

My Sonarr instance said there was an update. Under the jail I click update and it does all of this processing for a while and then says, "failed" no update. After that the gui is no longer accessible. When I go into the shell it works fine, but I can't access anything. I am getting super frustrated with the vicissitudes of freenas core and the jails. I wish things just worked. I appreciate any help in understanding what is going on. I suppose i should NEVER click the update button for a jail within the freenas gui.

I think this might be a bug. I experienced the exact same problem after attempting to upgrade tonight.

iocage should snapshot your jail before the upgrade process starts. You can stop your jail then run “iocage -n recover snapshot jailname” from the shell to restore sonarr.

"iocage rollback -n snapshot jailname"

You can check for existing snapshots with this command assuming your jail is names "sonarr"

"iocage snaplist sonarr"

I would reach out on their discord support channel. They're very helpful in my experience and may be able to help you solve your issue, if you know how to check logs etc.

If not, you can look into restoring a backup. Backups of Sonarr, or any arr app should be automatically taken on a schedule. In my experience these work very well, as well.

I don't know what is going on but I cannot get sonarr to work at all. I have started 3 new instances and each of them runs but refuses to load the gui. I thought I learned in the past that sometimes if I used a new name I would have success as opposed to just deleting an old one and building it over. This seems to not work now. It is crazy frustrating. I really, really don't want to abandon Truenas for all this stuff, but the amount of work is a problem. I have all of the other 'arr's working great. I have a backup of my sonarr config so I am fine rebuilding it if I can just get one to work. I have rebuilt them so many times I am good at it.

Are there logs within the jail? If so, where. TIA

Nice find. I guess I am just going to hangout on v3.0.9.1549 and just wait for the next update with the fix.

That's not going to help anyone. I'm in the same boat and Sonarr has been down for days. I'm running the same version you are. The issue is that I updated the jail which is what brought in the incompatible sqlite version.

Markus posted on another form that he had released a fix, but all it said was "main 3.10.xxxx" and I don't know how to force a sonarr only upgrade from the command line.

Same boat almost a year late - plugin update (include jail) to 4.0.1.929 and it runs then cannot get website up. Tried restarting jail, then plugin, but always the IP it's on says the site can't be reached.
