Are you using a RAID controller? The /dev/ciss0 would suggest that you are. It's strongly advised NOT to use any kind of RAID controller.

As long as it's in HBA mode, that's fine :)

As for the count, keep an eye on it. The disk may need replacing soon.

I've also just noticed you've never run a long self test on the drive. Recommend that you schedule this to run one a week.

Thanks for your fast replies. I scheduled a long test on all disks for tonight and gonna keep an eye on the smart values.

Today i learned: running the extended smart tests takes about two days.
Unfortunately i don't see anything here, gonna contact WD about it.
