Here is my setup
my-hardware-plan-any-suggestions

I am looking to increase my main array up from 6 drives to 9 5400 wd red nas drives. My motherboard only has 8 sas2 ports. Is it okay to use all 8 sas2 ports and one 6gig data port to creat the array. Still looking to run 1 ssd for freenas and 1 mirror array consisting of (2) ssd for jails. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what your question is but you can plug your hdds into and sata port or sas controller and it will work. Freenas doesn't care how your disks are layed out as long as they have full access.
