Hi

I see a lot of C2750 builds. What are the advantages of the C2750 build vs the 2550 build?
Is Freenas useful using more than 4 cores in regular loads and normal LAN speeds?

I'm going with the cheaper model. Cifs is single threaded anyway. The octa core is probably only worth it if you're running heaps of plugins

I agree with you wintermute0.

Not to say that the additional processing power might not be useful someday, but in the here and now the 8-core is an extreme amount of processing power for a FreeNAS box. ;)

Thanks

Considering the ASRock C2550D4I has 12 SATA ports, low power, intel NIC (2x) and well supported by freenas it seems to me the ideal entry level board for freenas.
