I have a Datoptic eBOX N and an eBOX 5 these have 5 into 1 port multipliers. I have had 3 versions of FreeNas (currently 8.2.0) on this and cannot get a reliable working NFS share for storing backup data.
Put in a new motherboard Asus P8H61-I with Intel i3 processor, 16 Gigs of ram.
I can run small jobs fine (20gigs) , but large jobs of around 200 gigs cause the unit to stop responding or to run so slow as to be unusable.
Both boxes house 5 disks 2TB Hitachi, set to raid 5 then both boxes are striped together for a total of 14TB usable.
I have run out of ideas
