Another Ryzen build up and running!

Finally got my new FreeNAS box running today. Had been waiting for an m.2 drive to arrive for the OS.
I know an m.2 is overkill for an OS drive but they are so cheap these days and this motherboard has two m.2 slots.

So far so good, no issues and super fast. Will be used for media storage / Emby server, maybe a VM or two?

Overall very happy with everything. Specs in signature.

Antec 1200 V2 with bays ... nice. Haven't seen any "tower with tons of 5.25" cases around any more.

I love this solution. It will sit nicely on the corner of my workbench in the basement. Lots of great rack mount solutions available these days.

The 1200 is a great way to get 16 drive slots on the cheap especially if you don't need or want dual PSU's.

It's refreshing to make something like this after dealing with enterprise storage clusters at work all day haha.
