I'm using FreeNAS for the first time. I have the flash drive prepared, and the NASbox connected to the router. I have no input device or monitor on the NASbox.
If I read the instructions right, once I plug in the flash drive and it boots, I should be able to connect to the webgui with just the IP address of the NAS box from my desktop, correct? Or am I missing something?

That's it, but you will need to know the IP address of the Nas box. If you can get it from your router, great. If not you need a monitor hooked up temporarily

Well the NAS box is not showing up in the client list of my router. The light is lit for it's connection port, but I guess they're not communicating?
What did I do wrong?

*edit*
Ok so I just hooked a monitor to it, booted, and it seems to be stuck on "mountroot>"

Found the problem. I was getting an error 19. Did some reading and moved my usb drive from the 3.0 to a 2.0. Booted just fine.
