AFP and LDAP not working

Hi all,

Has anyone gotten afpd (time machine) to authenticate with a LDAP user on FreeNAS 9.3? I can't seem to mount an afpd disk unless the user is a local FreeNAS user. I also don't see any error messages on FreeNAS. From the Mac machine, it just fails and prompts you again for username/password

/var/log/messages just shows:

afpd[99825]: AFP statistics: 0.52 KB read, 0.38 KB written

No errors, nada.

I verified the user exists with getent passwd:

timemachine:*:3333:3333:Time Machine:/dev/null:/bin/false

Searching the forum, this was supposedly fixed/incorporated since 8.0.3 Any ideas??

If you don't get an answer, create a bug report at bugs.freenas.org and post the issue number here. If you're on 9.3, use the Support tab to create the report as it will include a debug file containing your build version, logs, and config files. Note that you have to first create an account at bugs.freenas.org before using the Support tab.
