Added 1.5TB drive and swapped NIC card.

As the title says, I Added a 1.5TB hard drive with the intent of using it for plex server storage, and swapped my NIC from a low profile, 4 port Intel PRO/1000 to a high profile 4 port Intel PRO/1000. Now the box won't boot, it just goes to a black screen with a short horizontal line that blinks on and off in the upper left corner of my screen, and I can't access the UI. How bad did I bone myself here? FYI, the box IS set to boot from USB, and I am using a mirrored pair of 16GB USB flash drives as a boot drive.

Dell Precision T3600

Those T3600 systems can be a little difficult because the integrated drive controller is so crazy. How did you connect the new drive? Did you go back in the BIOS to make sure it didn't change the boot order for you? I would suspect it is trying to boot from the new drive you added.

Sounds like your boot order is messed up, that is what that little blinking cursor means.

I pulled the drive and restored the hardware to it's OG config,, I had set the machine to boot only from USB I thought, but you may be right. That would be a pretty embarrassing oversight on my end. I'll have to check it tomorrow when I get home.
