I have installed FreeNas 9.2.1.6 and successfully joined a domain. I have setup a few zfs datasets and changed their permissions to DOMAIN/Administrator and DOMAIN/Domain admins, 775 and Windows/ACL recursively.
When I look at the listing via SSH, it looks like I expect. But within a few minutes, FreeNas changes the permissions of the dataset to 575 on both the GUI (Storage, Change Permissions) and in the terminal via SSH.
I can access these shares on a Windows machine and add additional group permissions to the share. However, when I go back to FreeNas and change the permissions from 575 to 775, these additional group permissions have been deleted.
Any ideas on what might be causing this behavior?
