I am trying to access my files stored in a NextCloud plugin running on TrueNAS while remotely connected through OpenVPN. I am able to access my TrueNAS management interface at 10.0.0.169. I can access other devices on my LAN and I have web traffic tunneling from my client through my OpenVPN server. On my LAN, Nextcloud is accessed at 10.0.0.169:8282 but NextCloud does not answer at this address when I am connected through OpenVPN. I get ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED in my web browser.
I do not understand why I can access an address through openvpn but not a different port on the same address. I do not have any firewalls in the circuit.
On my LAN PCs, I had to add a static route to the OS so replies would be routed back to OpenVPN. This route does not exist inside the NextCloud jail and I have not been able to add it.
On TrueNAS, the NextCloud plugin jail uses an internal IP address of 172.16.0.2/30. I think this is connected to the TrueNAS host via bridging.
Can anyone help me get this working? I can provide more information as needed.
