9211-8i P16 Firmware

Hi All,

I would like to upgrade to 9.3. But my M1015 is running on P15 and i can't find the P16 anywhere. Does someone of you has the P16 IT somewhere laying around ?

Yes i know this one but please tell me where in this really good post form jgreco about what HBA/Raid Card is good for you is the P16 firmware ? I know i am probably the 1000 person how was asking this question and i know that's annoying to tell people the same answer over and over again but why not just create a real sticky for this small problem ?

Sure. Look at 4th paragraph of the 1st post. What about a warning message should include a link to a page explaining the issue and steps to take.

A link in the warning message its a good idea. There is already a alert page in the doc (http://doc.freenas.org/9.3/freenas_alert.html). Maybe create a note for every alert and point to it the the warning message.

p16 isn't linked there in the OP. It does get hit many pages in with a direct link by cyberjock. It is also getting trickier to find the old software on lsi's site. That's why I posted the .zip. Not sure why there isn't a crossflash sticky. But a piece of me says people don't really want to be responsible for bricking someone's card. And there are so many reasonably thorough guides around the net... that it is pretty redundant.

The better crossflash stickies on other sites seem to get very long and require quite a bit of maintenance.

If the alerts themselves aren't giving you enough information to have a direction to go, and you can't Google and you can't use the forum search engine, then you probably shouldn't be using FreeNAS. The warnings aren't in a foreign language.
