First post here, last night I regrettably decided to start a fresh and download the latest release, I am getting the following error when trying to add a jail (or any plugin):

Code:
http://cdn.freenas.org/9.2.0/RELEASE/x64/jails/freenas-pluginjail-9.2-RELEASE.tgz: Not Found ERROR: Failed extracting: http://cdn.freenas.org/9.2.0/RELEASE/x64/jails/freenas-pluginjail-9.2-RELEASE.tgz cannot open 'master/jails/.warden-template-pluginjail': dataset does not exist ERROR: Failed to create ZFS base dataset

  • CDN configured as: http://cdn.freenas.org/9.2.0/RELEASE/x64/jails/freenas-pluginjail-9.2-RELEASE.tgz
  • DNS servers are set
  • Default gateways are set
  • I can ping any other websites absolutely fine using shell
  • I can visit the above URL using my desktop PC and the file downloads no problem
  • Have tried modifying permissions on (and completely removing) the jails dataset
  • Have tried rebooting after any new settings
If you need any more details please let me know, my machine is useless at the moment.
Specifications of the system (HP Microserver N54L):
  • AMD Turion™ II Neo N54L (2.2GHz)
  • 8GB DDR3 RAM
  • 2x3TB WD Red drives + 250gb HDD

Also the first Post, same error, same hardware expect the RAM are 4GB.
If I delete the datastore and setup a new one I also getting the same error as in this bug report.

https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/4188

Getting the same error on a fresh installation with FreeNAS-9.2.1.6

Sorry I meant to come back to this to update it for anyone else having the same problem.

In my instance, everything else was set, except under general settings the WebGUI IPv4 was set to 0.0.0.0, see this image: http://puu.sh/90Z14.png

After correcting to the actual web GUI address for FreeNAS, and a restart, it was all working fine :) whether it'll work for your instance who knows, but good luck!

I'm having this problem as well. Fresh install of 9.2.1.5 and same error message.
Changing the WebGUI IPv4 does not help.

Hello,

New FreeNas User (actually I just do testing of my environnement under virtualbox) and same bug for me FreeNAS-9.2.1.5-RELEASE-x86 (80c1d35)

- When I upload a plugin manually : Plugin listing is really long to actualise and hasardous and find only 4 plugins ... (bacula , firefly, minidlna, transmission ) no subsonic.

- When I try to add manually the pbi , in the step of the jail creation :
Jun 1 02:21:07 freenas manage.py: [middleware.exceptions:38] [MiddlewareError: http://cdn.freenas.org/9.2.0/RELEASE/x86/jails/freenas-pluginjail-9.2-RELEASE.tgz: Not Found ERROR: Failed extracting: http://cdn.freenas.org/9.2.0/RELEASE/x86/jails/freenas-pluginjail-9.2-RELEASE.tgz cannot open 'ztank/jails/.warden-template-pluginjail': dataset does not exist ERROR: Failed to create ZFS base dataset ]

By the way accessing http://cdn.freenas.org/9.2.0/RELEASE/x86/jails/ with various browser look likes really chaotic with big latences (from western europe) and sometimes it's nginx error not found

And warden management look like hazardious after some install / deleted of jail/plugin ..
*

I hope for some fixing in the next release ; )

Most jails require the 64 bit version of FreeNAS. Four plugins for x86 sounds right.

After two new installs and the installation of the plugins keep failing, i tried a new fresh install and then directly after that i made a factory reset.
Now the plugins automagically works!

I just woke up to see that both btsync and transmission plug-ins died. I'm unable to start them again and the error message in the GUI states: "some error occurred" when i try to start them.

Me too, I just installed 9.2.5.1 and getting this error when I tried to install Plex:

Code:
http://cdn.freenas.org/9.2.0/RELEASE/x64/jails/freenas-pluginjail-9.2-RELEASE.tgz: Not Found ERROR: Failed extracting: http://cdn.freenas.org/9.2.0/RELEASE/x64/jails/freenas-pluginjail-9.2-RELEASE.tgz cannot open 'master/jails/.warden-template-pluginjail': dataset does not exist ERROR: Failed to create ZFS base dataset

What is the most stable version of Freenas? can I downgrade to it?
