Hi guys, I just successfully installed and configured my new Freenas (9.1.1) build. I have set up my volumes and datasets as follows.
/NAS/Media
/Media/Movies
/Media/TV_Shows
/Media/Music
All the sub-categories were made using datasets. I created a windows CIFS share of my Media dataset and was able to upload my movie collection from my PC. My movie collection follows the proper naming conventions for Plex. This collection was previously used in my old PMS build.
Now I have installed Plex Media Server via the inbuilt installer and mounted my /NAS/Media dataset to the jail directory /media.
When I add the movies section to Plex, and select /media/Movies as the folder, the scan doesn't pick up any of my movies. I'm not sure what the problem is, I think it might have to do with my permissions. I even tried to allow rwx (check all 9 boxes) and change the owner:group to nobody:nogroup but it still doesn't work.
Did I miss out on a step? Not sure where I went wrong..
I've uploaded some pics of my settings
