I have tried to search around but i do not really find what i want to achieve. In the past i have worked a lot with windows storage spaces direct and a bit with Ceph clusters. In theses systems there is a way to achieve 3 way mirroring in a way that each node have one copy so the failure domain will be chassi based.
Since i have not worked with zfs and gluster at all before i wounder how i would configure the pools on each node? Lets say that i have 3 nodes in a to be cluster and each node have 5 disks beside the os. All i could think of is creating a striped vdev with 5 disks but then the dashboard litghts up with funny little warning triangles so it does not seem right. Or is it plainly so that truenas scale is not designed to work this way?
