Hi All,

below hardware may shock some; but, it's what I have.. :)

So, I recently got a Mac mini 2012:

- i7 quadcore 2.3GHz
- 16 GB non-EEC RAM
- 2x 2TB (2,5; 7mm) seagate HDD
- two USB 3.1 keys (kingston)

Freenas is installed, & updated itself to latest 11.2 U5, however, it takes appx 40' to boot... When plugged into a monitor, I see it takes a real long time looking for & loading the different modules/plugins. Should I get a boot log? (and if yes, what's quickest way to get it?)

FWIW: my previous & still perfectly running, little freenas is a 2010 Macmini:

- Core2Duo 2.53GHz
- 8 GB RAM
- same HDD make & model
- similar USB keys

Both FreeNAS instances are set to have USB keys mirrored...and run the default scrub interval.

The 2010 mac sometimes takes long when rebooting after an upgrade, but I don't recall it taking 40' on normal non-post-upgrade boot.

Big bummer, as this 2012 Mac was my "upgrade", w/ double ram and plenty CPU.

I didn't find many threads with "mac minis".

I did find mention of USB 3.0 having been an issue for Freenas before/at.some.point -- so am wondering if that could be the source of
problem, as 2012 Mac supports USB 3.0, vs. 2010 Mac only supports USB 2.0

Any tests/recommendations/etc. appreciated!
Thanks
