Last week the boot flash drive on our FreeNAS box gave up the ghost. Because I was unable to quickly find a corporate flash drive, I used my personal 16GB Patriot Flash Drive. The next day I replace my personal flash drive with a corporate flash drive. The problem is now windows only recognizes it as a 925MB flash drive. How do I get my 16GB flash drive back?

Hi Ken Mullins,

Some other alternatives:

Download "ActiveKillDisk" for windows & use that to erase the key

or

In Windows start a command prompt & run "diskpart".
At the DISKPART> prompt type "list disks".
Type "select disk X" where X is the number of your usb key.
Type "clean" and then exit. <--Keep in mind this is a measure twice, cut once operation
select the wrong disk and you will erase the wrong drive.
