We upgraded a couple of our servers from 12.0-u2or3, don't remember exactly which one, to 12.0-u7 recently, and found some issues with previous versions tab populating on windows 10.
The issue for us was related to Auxillary Parameters on the SMB share. If we removed the Auxiliary Parameters, and restarted SMB, we would get previous versions back. We re-added the old settings and previous versions still work, so I'm not sure if the issue was with the upgrade or something else.
Is there a better way to audit changes with SMB shares, than to use Auxillary Parameters?
I found a forum entry that said to use this for vfs objects: vfs objects=streams_xattr shadow_copy_zfs aio_fbsd ixnas full_audit
But I don't see some of those options in the truenas documentation. Anyone know of any best practices articles for setting up auditing with truenas and smb?
