Is a Chelsio T520-CR supported on Scale?
I just repurposed a Core box (minus a few drives) to a scale box and its not seeing the Chelsio card

Unfortunately I can't go look at it till next week

I assume its supported in Debian?
We use many Chelsio NICs at iXsystems... so it would be a bit surprising if not supported.

That's kinda what I thought - so this has got me scratching my head a bit. This box ran Core, with the Chelsio. Maybe I knocked summat when I took the Optane's out. I'll look next week when I can get to the box

Question: How long does it take a retired network engineer to figure out that he's turned off the port on the switch and there is nothing wrong with the card.

Sigh

And I only replaced the card three times, the SFP+'s twice

and if I had any hair - it would have been torn out

My commiserations.... I guess its only network engineers that turn their network ports off.

Did you have to do any configuration?

My Scale system "sees" the card, but does not list it as an interface.

it shows the cxgb4 driver, but I have a feeling it needs to load the cxgbe driver. On CORE it seems to work, at most you need to change the loader.conf, but seem to having issues with SCALE.
