I have had to do a reinstall of TrueNas Scale on my Dell R720XD server - imported the previous RAID 5 which is there and setup a new user to connect to it. When I try to connect via Windows to Map Network Drive, it says it's not available even though I am inputting the correct username and password that I set up for it

Any ideas please

Thanks

I hope you're not using a hardware RAID5. If you *meant* RAIDZ1, then we're fine.

See:

Did you actually do a new user, or are you trying to use "root"? Recent FreeNAS/TrueNAS no longer allow "root" as a SMB user for security issues.

I created a new user and have tried to connect but it won't let me - my raid 5 on the other 11 drives is intact and I can see the share but can't connect to it via windows Map Network Drive
