I have been using TrueNAS-12.0-U6 for a short time.
The installation of iscsi went smoothly via the wizzard.
However, the port 3260 stays closed.
After checking the settings I can't get any further.
I tried deleting the entire isci zpool to start over - not possible.
Any ideas?
Thank's for your help!

I'm going to ask what might be an obvious question, but did you actually turn on the iSCSI service?

NAS->Services->iSCSI, make sure both the "Start automatically" and "Running" toggles are set.

Otherwise, I do suggest looking at logs. NAS->System->Advanced->Show console messages is helpful to set as it tends to raise some of the most obvious messages right away.

The Service was enabled and the port was open, I guess from the beginning! I could check it with "netstat".
Why nmap didn't show me Port 3260 - I don't understand. Unfortunately the connection on my mac (initiator) does not work with "KernSafe" on os BigSur.
I am grateful for suggestions on working initiators.

nmap isn't necessarily the best tool for debugging this kind of thing. Firewalls and other stuff interferes. Funnily enough, I usually use "telnet" from the initiator machine if it's available...

Got nothin', sorry. Even getting regular filesharing working smoothly on OS X/macOS is a bit of a challenge. Perhaps a Machead will see this and stop in.
