Hey

Welp this is fun. Ive run freenas for 4+ years, had 0 issues. I moved to true nas and oh lord.... I want to go back to free nas :- (

anyway have 2 nics

1gbe has internet access = 192.168.0.10
10gbe is local only = 192.168.10.100
In past I was able to do either of them as \\ip\ and press enter & I would see files. Now only the 10gbe works. the 1gbe no longer shows any files.
I can still type the ip in web address bar to access gui controls. But not files...

I've no idea how to fix that... any hints what should I start looking at?

TIA

I ran into an issue where the iSCSI initiators were created with FreeNAS and that was passed tot he hypervisors. When I upgraded to TrueNAS, the SAN was now serving "TrueNAS" but the hypervisors were looking for "FreeNAS". We had to update the iSCSI.conf files on the hypervisors to "TrueNAS" and reboot. When they came up all 4 paths became active, instead of just 1. This is how it was explained to me. YMMV.

Assuming you're talking about Samba shares, this sounds like you need to bind the SMB service to your 1Gb NIC. Go to Services -> SMB and look under the Advanced Options.
