Avahi service doesn't exist on my system?

Hi,

When I do find / -iname "*avahi*", I get this:

• /conf/base/etc/local/avahi
• /conf/base/etc/local/avahi/avahi-daemon.conf
• /etc/local/avahi
• /etc/local/avahi/avahi-daemon.conf
• /usr/local/man/man3/nutscan_scan_avahi.3.gz

But, it doesn't seem to be listed in service -l or ps aux | grep avahi

What's wrong here?

I think the service is called mdnsd.
