Hello everybody,

I installed Freenas on two identical disks (checking both during installation process). Now one of the disks has failed and have been replaced.

Could you please advice me how to copy partiton layouts to the new drive, properly reinstall GRUB on it and replace failed one within freenas-boot pool

The last point is the most simplest for me but I'm quite confused how to handle the first and the second steps

Thank you in advance!

System -> Boot -> Status, select the failed drive, click replace, select your replacement drive. Should take care of all of those on one step.

Which version of FreeNAS are you running? (i.e. is your boot pool ZFS?)

If he was able to select two drives during installation (as he says he did), he must be running some flavor of 9.3 with a ZFS boot pool.

Ahh the part that through me off was the word "checking". I thought he did two installs and checked them against each other.
