Since the sticks I purchased (Mushkin USB 32GB) aren't working for the boot devices for my 9.3 upgrade, which sticks are y'all using with good success?

Ya sorry -- I realized I posted in the wrong place, then posted in the "proper" place, and then went to try to delete my original post... no joy.
I have yet to find a USB flash drive that works dependably update after update. Some new flash drives refuse to work upon first install (admittedly cheap PNYs). Others seem problem free until a particular update objects and they get put aside (Sandisk, Corsair & Mushkin). I now buy in “bulk.” I recently purchased 3 Sandisk Cruzer Glide 16GB drives when on sale at Best Buy. Glide #1 worked for about 2 updates then started throwing install errors. I am now on Glide #2 which is working fine on first use. I fully expect it will need to be replaced soon by Glide #3 which I am holding in reserve.
