Zpools and Vdevs

Hi,

New to FreeNAS. I set up a FreeNAS server and set up my drives. Now I have under Volumes 2 Folders in GUI. 1st is DataStore and then a sub directory DataStore. Which is a Zpool and which is a Vdev? I've read on ZFS and don't understand which is which.

So a volume is a ZFS pool. What is a Vdev and how does it relate. I'm trying to match the terminology with the GUI.
