Howdy all,
Ive been looking around the forums here trying to see if there is a way to do a snapshot replication tasks between to pools on the same node (this is for a home setup). Now yes, I know you can setup the GUI replication task and just point it to loopback and apply the SSH key, however, this really restricts the speed of the transfer as your being bound to ssh and network stack. For example, using that replication I can push around 50-60MB/sec. Doing just a straight ZFS send / receive not doing using SSH I hit 200MB/sec+. Of course, I am considering seeding the initial snaps vi CLI and letting the normal replication function do the updates but still am curious is there is a way to do this without using SSH. Cheers!
